Edges imply many things: borders, boundaries, to enclose, include or exclude. They can indicate changes or cutting lines, goals, as in reaching the finish line, and particularly in painting there can be strong edges and lost edges. This series is an exploration of design – a series in which I could work with the materials I had been using but in a more formal way and in a way that underlines my musings on the ambiguity of our existence. Plus I wanted the paintings to be beautiful.
